And after surgery

Surgery was on the 28th.  After 5 hours of surgery because of finding unexpected scar tissue that the doctor had to remove, I stayed overnight at the hospital.  I’ve had no pain from the surgery itself and am stuck with a full bottle of pain pills that I will end up flushing.

Friday was the follow up.  The lymph nodes they removed show no sign of cancer nor was there any outside the site.  I was listed as Stage 1a.  The doctor feels at this time, I need no follow up radiation or chemo.  I will be monitored for a while to make sure.

At the moment I am as cancer free as a person who has cancer can be.   I’m hoping to get back to normal after I finish healing and to do some writing and publish Standing Stone.
