You have three hundred words to justify the existence of your favorite person, place, or thing.
No. I think what really bothers me is the word justify. Do you realize how much we “justify” things in our life so we can make them “okay” to be in our lives? I need. I deserve. It’s my reward. I have to recharge my batteries. Really? You can’t just enjoy something because you enjoy it. I do it because I like it. I have it in my life because I enjoy it. No other reason. Many of us can’t say that.
Pathetic isn’t it? You have to earn something to have it. Now don’t get me wrong. Earning is good. Things sometime have to be earned. Like that new car if you aren’t rich. Other things don’t have to be earned. Earning works as a nice tool but when you come down to it? You don’t have to earn some of the stuff you claim you have to earn. Sometimes it is just enough to enjoy it.
I don’t have to justify anything to anyone and frankly? I don’t want to bother. Justify is show or prove to be right or reasonable. Isn’t simply my choosing this in my life enough to justify anything I choose? Don’t I have that right? Don’t you? It’s very simple: It’s my life and if you don’t like what I choose or how I live it? I don’t have to justify it to you. You can just bugger off. It’s a wonderful liberating feeling when you realize you can simply choose something today and don’t have to justify shit. You know you don’t have to do it.
I am that I am.
That’s all the justify that you need.
