What .000001% were you using to write this up? Do you think if we used the full capacity of our brains, we would be what we are at this moment? Why on earth do you think we would want what we want at this moment if we were fully aware?
Our desires are based on the functioning that we do have and our ideas about ourselves. Become aware of that and everything changes. That is why people who are not as intelligent tends to be happier than those who are more intelligent. They don’t see the big picture. They only see their small frame and inside that small frame, you can be very content. There is an old Chinese saying where the father asks that his son be stupid so he can be happy.
If we were able to access the full extent of our brains, we would change everything because we would change. Things would be seen differently. Our desires would be different. I’m sorry but they aren’t genetic. They tend to be programmed into you. We are told what we are from the day we are born by well-meaning people. It takes brain power to realize we aren’t what we are told we are. More brain power than most people have because they follow their roles in life.
We would learn how to think. Most people don’t. They give it lip service when they say “I thought about that” or “I’ll have to think about that.” or the famous “Here is what I think.” As soon as they say that, you can be sure no thought went into it. When you learn how to think, you become unhappy. And you can’t go back.
The happiest people in the world should be narrow-minded, rigid, straight-laced Fundamentalist who are told what to think and when to think it and who march right behind their leader going “He/She’s right” Funny. That doesn’t work. They are some of the unhappiest people I know. So I guess stupidity doesn’t work. Or maybe it only does if you are truly stupid and not trying to fit in to the stupid mold just to be happy.
If we had our full brains, that would not even be a problem. [And Reality TV would die on the spot… Mindless clap trap] We would not be who we are. Our lives would not be what they are. And the world would be vastly different because we would see thinks as they are, not as we want them to be in our personal delusional definition of reality.
The question posed in the daily prompt is moot because what I answer is not my answer if I had 100% access.
